Rolling the tape…
We've all done it. Somebody remembers a June back in '98 when it was clear every single morning, somebody else swears by the evenings in July of 2005, and by the second cup of coffee the whole table has agreed: early morning or late afternoon is when the plane should come, and everything in between was just asking to get cancelled. Nobody wrote any of it down, of course. So we pulled three years of hourly weather tape for both runways and checked the call. Verdict: half right — and the half that's wrong is very wrong.
