How far the St. George ADS-B receiver hears, by bearing
This plot is the flat summary. The full ADSb-Vue viewer shows the complete reception volume — every altitude layer we've ever heard aircraft in, as an interactive 3D model you can spin and fly through, with the coastline underneath.

The polar plot shows the maximum range at which our St. George Island receiver has heard an aircraft, for every degree of bearing. The shape is mostly terrain and Earth curvature: high-altitude jets are heard hundreds of miles out, while low-flying aircraft drop below the radio horizon much closer in — that's the smaller dashed ring.
Coverage accumulates as aircraft happen to fly through each bearing, so sparse sectors mean "nothing has flown there yet," not "we can't hear there." The best-ever ring survives receiver rebuilds.
